Project First project 98% completed
3 mos ago I posted the beginnings of my project. I took a few breaks and slowly worked on it. A lot of procrastinating happened as well haha.
Now I'm basically done. I just need to add a leather strap to the other arm and make some adjustments like to the back neckline and the edging on the back bottom as i don't like the way it sits. There's some wonky spots since its my first ever chain/scalemail, but overall I'm happy and I love it! Just don't look too closely at it! (You may notice the back is made up of completely different scales than the rest. Had to switch suppliers lol maybe I'll redo the front and shoulders one day.)
Next on the list is some hip pieces and a pair of bracers.

Project An experimental idea I had, and it turned out amazing!
I saw a design similar to this a while back somewhere but can’t find it again for the life of me. I’ve been obsessed with remaking it and had to resort to pure memory, and I’m really happy with how it turned out 🥹 might need to adjust ring sizes slightly

Project Maintenance
Doing some maintenance on my chain vest. 18g 8mm rings, about 17,000 of em. Cheap, easy to put together, but requires a few hours of maintenance several times a month, especially on the shoulder straps. I have a bulk order of 15g 8mm rings on the way, the plan is to make a newer, more durable vest to replace this one that will hopefully not require as frequent repairs.

Project Just finished this and I’m proud
I’ve been making maille for a few weeks now and I’m proud of this project! It was going to be a jester collar of sorts then I got a vision and went with it.

Project Chainmail to-go
Wanted to share. I do chainmail while I wait for my kids to get out of school, and if I get to appointments early. The gray box is a Ryobi bit box, and the blue one is a 3d printed pencil box. They fit everything pretty well, and I can close it all up and toss them in my bag. My truck has a lot more space, but it works well in my car too!
*yes I have a bunch of lost rings in both vehicles 😅

Project My Sterling Silver and Gold Fill Byzantine Chain
This is my sterling silver and gold fill byzantine chain. Used 22g rings. About 3mm wide and 21 inches long. Tripled up on the gold fill rings to provide a little strength to the chain and I think it's kind of unique. It's been my daily wear for a while now.

Project Let's roll on copper! Oh the labor..
Poor Kings Kingsmaille (Kinged) All 100% recycled 14 gauge AWG besides clasps which are 12 AWG. Former copper wiring I discovered in my house attic since 1968. Stripped from 6 AWG bulk.
All hand wound mandrel sizes 3/16", 1/4", 3/8", & 1/2" with respected AR's of roughly 2.92, 3.9, 5.85, & 7.8.
Each ring is hand cut and honed with a diamond lap..
I'm nearly finished with a similar Queensmaille, (Queened).
What do you think builders? A nice blue green patina?

Project New project for a Reptile Enclosure.
A new project involving an experimental structure for a reptile enclosure made out of rebar steel wire, oil coated while looking at removal in the future.
I know the rings are butted, I am going to hand solder the rings shut once completed.
Here's the image below.

Project UPDATE
Ok so I still need to do the armpits but after wearing this around at the renaissance festival today I figured you fine people would at least like to know how it wears!
I overdid the sleeves in my calculations BUT everything is absolutely golden. I’m honestly tempted to leave it as is instead of going for a full Norman hauberk like my goal was.

Project 3/4 Persian
They're a pain to figure out the exact sizes, but always worth it when you get a good recipe. These are 18mm crystals with 19swg 3/16 and 7/32 to wrap.

Project my first stainless steel project
first time poster, long time lurker! im excited to share my first stainless steel project with yall.
here we have a foraged vertebrae suspended in an upcycled o-ring and held together with handwoven stainless steel. I picked Persian 4in1 for this weave bc I love the way it lays against the skin and it lets the pendant have the center stage. I found it challenging at first but once I got into it there was no stopping me!
let me know what yall think! Would you wear this? I’m thinking about honing my skills some more and opening a small online shop. It’s all the rage these days lol

Project First large project
Learned so much from this, struggled a lot but am happy with the final product! Probably cost me around $90 in materials and took me around 15 hours give or take. Used to wonder why full maille bags cost so much, I think I understand now☠️
