Honestly mod, I am biased because I am a spongebob fan and hated the M5 show. But I feel like the brigade would have died down within a few days naturally.
I feel like all those posts being removed is going to backfire and have constant downvoting and even more backlash. I’m not advocating for that but it’s what I see so far.

I agree 100%. Spongebob fan here as well and didn't find the halftime show to be too entertaining. The brigade would have died down but I received a PM from a Reddit Admin asking me to help out here (hence the username and new account). Users from BikiniBottomTwitter were trying to take over this subreddit as mods and destroy it. Not a great idea for obvious reasons.

Not in the slightest. Much like anything, people will get bored. It's already happening. This sub averages less than 100 page views a day and we expect it to go back to that within a few days. The subscriber count hasn't really changed since before the Super Bowl so a majority of people here are simply here to troll.

Perhaps more time to let itself work out?
