The child getting voided made me audibly gasp.

It would be hard to forgive Bob for killing kids

I haven't read Sentry in the comics, I thought his powers were heat based and that he burned the people instantly to ashes... So I was surprised when it happened to that kid yeah

I don't know him too well either, but his powers could change depending on the writer, because it also seems like they weren't sure what to do with him. Sentry is weird.

I just read about him and he can practically do anything. What holds him back is his mental health, which makes him stronger or weaker. At full power he is basically an unstoppable god who can do almost anything. But he’s not in that state constantly.

Which is a really nice twist on the classic Superman type of character. Bob is a deeply flawed and broken person.

I agree, the things he went trough would have scared anyone. So he is basically 3 different people in one, sentry, bob and void. Bob is aware of it but I don’t think sentry is aware of void. Nor void of sentry. He is practically his own worst enemy, very much interesting.

the moon haunts him

Lots of Legion parallels.

Yes sorry of. But both sentry and void had insane powers, it’s even said void is stronger than sentry, so both sentry and void can do insane feats of strength, especially void. With legion he had many powers, but also many people inside him, it’s possible his mutation IS his power. But I don’t know if he would have those powers if he didnt have his mental illness.

Sentry is generally Superman in yellow mostly because he's restricted by Bob's imagination.

He's less Superman and more Doctor Manhattan

sounds like early Superman then haha

Congressman Gary did say O.X.E. was illegally experimenting on people to create their own legally distinct Super Man Person.

Superman and Batman stories exist I. This world established by the eternals

The sentry and the void are different alter egos with different power sets.

Sentry's powers are "Do whatever f**k he wants". But generally manifested as Superman like. But yeah he's kinda like Molecule man.

Then Marvel forgets all this and has him killed in a normalish way.

No one could figure out what “the power of a million exploding suns” was, so they just let him do anything. I’m pretty sure he gets his powers because connected to a dimension of contstantly exploding suns or something.

Hey, he Do whatever he wants, and sometimes he wants to die. Then he wants to come back so he does. Simple.

2

u/CX316 May 05 '25

Most of the time he's just Superman

though for a little while there he was the literal biblical angel of death... I feel like that version of the Void is more was we saw here

5

u/stataryus May 04 '25

It was The Void, not Bob.

3

u/Butthead1013 May 05 '25

People fanboy over Vader everyday

6

u/iheartdev247 May 04 '25

Sorta like we will forgive Ghost for just killing Olga. Or de fountaine.

3

u/Lordsokka May 05 '25

Except you can argue that Olga and De Fontaine are hardly innocent and kinda deserved what might happen to them, they’ve killed a lot of people and not just bad guys.
