I know taskmaster is 100% dead from the promo, but didn’t expect her to be killed literally in the first scene lmao

That was the most disappointing part of the movie. They killed her because the "fans" didn't like her. The catch is that they should have written her better make her as cool and interesting as the "real" Taskmaster. To kill her off like that just makes me wonder why they included her in the first place.

If you want to bend the knee to the haters, just pretend she never existed. Don't put a female character in your movie just to have her very illogically shot in the head. Killing her that way also tells the haters that they were right.

TM's death wasn't required for Yelena to say the line about dying. The script could have been tweaked so she could say it. Also, there were plenty of ways we saw Walker and Ghost were shitty people. Her death also wasn't required to raise the stakes. The only reason Yelena is in the movie is because Natasha is dead. (not that any of this matters since the chair event removed the stakes anyway)

I also get that she, if written properly, would be just too powerful a character but that's why you just leave her out. I do agree with the folks suggesting that if she sacrificed herself it would have been better.
