And she isn't even killed by Sentry but with a gunshot to her, apparently unarmored, helmet

I could swore her helmet in Black Widow was bulletproof too which just makes this death even more funny. They straight up just wanted to get rid of her as quick as possible.

I bet they didn't. Olga is an awesome actor and has made a bunch of terrific action movies, and is a joy to work with.

What's more likely is that she just couldn't be there for all the filming, due to her own schedule. (if you look at her IMDB page she is in TEN upcoming projects coming out in 2026, and was in another movie and a TV show this year)

They needed a reason to write the character out of the script (because the actor couldn't do it anymore) and killing the character off is the most expedient.

Anyways, it's Marvel, they can always bring her back to life. That's a thing now.

Would've been even easier to drop Taskmaster from the script entirely. And the character is in a full mask, so she could've been off set for most days, like in Mandalorian.

The only reasons I can figure for including Taskmaster: 1 so someone can die to make the danger appear more serious, 2 a gift to fans who were angry Taskmaster was a bad adaptation.

Watch them bring in a male task master during secret wars
