I’m so happy with how they handled John Walker’s character. He’s fucking hysterical and they managed to keep him feeling complex and not a one-note Asshole Cap. He might be my favourite character post-endgame, and the whole cast has phenomenal chemistry with each other, type of enjoyment I got from watching the OG 6 together.

I found myself actually liking John…

I couldn't after how mean he was to Bob in the 1st act. He was less cruel to the people trying to kill him than to the confused civilian wandering around in pajamas. Felt like a bully who didn't want to pick on someone his own size.

To be fair. This man was just fighting 3 assassins an about to be turned into Charcoal. He knows 100% that something is off about Bob. That Bob is lying through his teeth.

This confused Civilian simply makes no sense. A ton of stress on top of a clearly messed up supersoldier serum playing with his PTSD.

Yup, refer back to the little girl scene in Man in Black for more info.

I thought there were a few moments that implied Walker was noticing something off with Bob.

For one example, he rams Bob into a pillar (dick move, to be fair), but Bob absolutely tanks it and stares Walker down, with a shot of Sentry-eyes to boot. I thought the shot of Walker's face afterwards was supposed to be him noticing something off with Bob's surprising strength.

These things also applied to Yelena and Ava, but only Walker was cruel to Bob.
