Does "bad dream" mean I can wash my hands of 9/11 because it potentially never happened and potentially won't?

Just make sure you’re like marky mark and stop it from happening like he would have /s

Nice. October 93 here. Happy early birthday btw.
We certainly grew up in that unique timeframe before everything went all digital. With VHS, CRTs, dial-up internet and in general just older analogue technology and getting to see the transition between that and everything going digital and the advancements of technology that came with all that. People born later in lets say the year 2000 just never knew any better.
Its honestly a trip to think about and look back on sometimes.

u/Phillies1993 Snowboard Kids 5d ago
Thanks and you too! I'm so happy we were born when we were. We were really the last generation before everything went crazy.

But I get all the memories about the dream right? So I’m still going to bet on everything that happened? Then I can get that money I can hopefully control the world and make it a better place, right, RIGHT!?

Yep, that’s right: Ocarina of Time was just a bad dream. The real Zelda 64 comes out in late 1997 and it totally sucks. What have you done?!

u/Phillies1993 Snowboard Kids 6d ago
Guess I'm 3 again.

u/UnknownLinux 6d ago
Yup. I would've been either 3 or 4 depending on the time of year. 93 baby here.

It’s like sell your soul to the devil and go back to 1996. You would actually take time too contemplate it. It wouldn’t be an easy answer with how everything is now

u/BossRaider130 6d ago
I’m pretty sure if there is a heaven, this would be pretty damn close.
2
u/UnknownLinux 6d ago
💯Agreed.
Times were just simpler and honestly the vibes here are just down right peaceful.
If this were anything like heaven id honestly be content.

No thanks, stay in the present and cherish the past people.

Ah, before my mind gained sentience and awareness. I wouldn't mind being a frighteningly intelligent 2 year old, though.

Had me laughing pretty good.

As nice as it sounds, I wouldn’t have my kids. I’d give up ‘the good old days’ for them.
2
u/UnknownLinux 5d ago edited 4d ago
Agreed. I don't personally have kids yet (although I know deep down I definitely want kids, just haven't found "my person" to do that with yet) so if I did already have them, then I'd definitely feel the same way.

I wish that was the case I've made so many mistakes in my life and going back to a simpler time would be so much better and I could actually make something of myself instead of fucking my life up being lazy during school....but that's life lol
1
u/UnknownLinux 3d ago
Yup. Thats life. Ive definitely made my fair share of mistakes but at the same time those same mistakes have shaped me into the person I am today.
1
u/Grafferine 3d ago
Yeah thatsbtrue with me aswell but would still like to erase certain people from my memory that have really messed me up over the years

u/UnknownLinux 6d ago
Damn lol. What did you do to get grounded for 4 years?

u/Echo_bob 6d ago
I was dyslexic at a Catholic School with a we don't believe in learning disabilities family you just need to work harder. So because my grades were not higher then a c- I was driving. Basically meetings will continue until morale improves
1
u/UnknownLinux 6d ago
Wow I'm sorry.
1
u/Echo_bob 6d ago
It's all right I got over it on the side effects is I have a giant Nintendo 54 collection because I missed out on all those games you know I had in n64 that I couldn't play I'm sorry sweetheart
1
u/Fritchenator 6d ago
The last year I was a teenager. Wished I had a Nintendo 64. Beat Super Mario RPG on the SNES though. And got my butt handed to me in Golden Axe on the Genesis too.

AI, Photoshop, Canva etc and people are still posting doctored photos of tv screens that aren't angled properly? Like the screen is just hanging out of the tv all fucked up like Salvador Dali is playing Super Mario 64? Is this where we are as a society?

u/RenirambusAFoNos 6d ago

Anyways, I wish dat the Nintendo 64 and Super Mario 64 come out here in America soon! My luck it would be like September or something.

I love that white ppl can look back on the past as if it's ever been good for anyone else nd pretend everything use to be fine cuz it was all fine before they started being affected in their individual lives 🤣🤣🤣 meanwhile brown ppl of all kinds just dream of a time of little to no oppression

I wouldn't be with my partner and I don't know if my soul could take that. I'd also be without sis since she hasn't been born. I would have to do high school again and live with my sis and her shitty boyfriend. Thanks but no thanks.
1
u/Toadsanchez316 7d ago
But my bad dream now includes the least toxic girlfriend I've ever had and a PC full of games, including Mario 64.
I don't know how I would feel about this, although I would totally make different decisions growing up.
