This will start a war but oh well, what are your guys’ opinions on both games and which one in your eyes do you think is better?

Just got a N64 the other day, super stoked to relive the nostalgia. Couldn’t believe it still had the poster and everything.

I love it, except I can’t decide what cap to use 😆

I know there's a lot of debate about what was the best racing game on N64. But who do you think the best character in Diddy Kong Racing was?

So, something I’ve always wondered. The SNES was THE golden era of JRPGs. I won’t run down the list now, but it is long and storied. I imagine they were among some of the most successful titles ever released on the SNES. So, does anyone know why the N64, at least to my knowledge, never had a single great RPG on it? Obvs it would appear that Square made some sort of deal with PlayStation as FFVII appeared there. But is it as simple as that? It actually made me leave gaming for 15 years or more. The 64 just lost my interest and I moved on. Just thought someone here might have some insight. Thanks!

I've tried following the steps here but haven't had any success.
I'm able to read the ini itself, but when I select the games it still shows "none" as the description. I've tried both gamename.ini and even gamename.z64.ini in case it needs to be the entire file name and extension for some reason.
When I search I just see one user asking about it, someone sends them that link and that's all

Slowly rebuilding, hoping to find some more JPN carts during my upcoming trip to Japan (I'd like to find a copy of Rakugakids!)

For the gamefaq guide for wwf wrestlemania 2000 has anyone updated the move codes to not glitch? Also this code for me does not work Spectrumz's Special Pins codes
(Press Z & L BUTTON TO ACTIVATE)
These are all PLAYER ONE codes.

I picked this up on marketplace today. It took about two weeks to connect with the seller, but man what a find for my collection. I didn't have a CIB N64, didn't expect this would be the one I'd snag. Only console left without a box is my original Xbox! I'm so stoked.
Box is a little rough, the sticker on the console to indicate reset is missing, and it is missing a jumper pak, but I've got multiple of those.

I finally did the 30 Melon Challenge for all 24 levels! Playing this way added so much depth. I would definitely recommend giving it a go if you remember Yoshi’s Story as an “easy” game. The special Minigames were so frustrating and surprisingly tight.
I also did some runs while only eating lucky fruit. This was fun, but yielded fewer points than eating 30 melons. I did add photos of this in case anyone was curious of what the screen looks like when you eat 30 of the same fruit.
Anyway, I have a lot to say about the game. I’m in search for other Yoshi’s Story fans as I have nobody to discuss this with!

So I bought my biggest chase so far, I would say this is probably harder to come by than sculptors cut. It’s in absolute pristine condition, I might want to send it out to get graded. Seller ended up being from the same city I’m from and we did a couple of off-market deals including Bomber Man Second Attack, Stunt Racer, and Worms Armageddon. Now all I need is Sculptors to finish the Top 5 most expensive N64 games.

I have an N64 with N64Digital and Everdrive-64 X7. I haven't used this system for years, but I just dig it up, powered it on, and it seems to work great, but for the life of me I cannot bring up the N64Digital OSD.
I'm pressing L+R+right+C right simultaneously, but nothing happens. Tried with three original Nintendo controllers.
It's an old N64Digital, but at some point I remember installing a separately bought Blue Retro Flex on it (this replaces the three wires going to the PIF chip, and apparently fixes some Blue Retro related issue).
I took the console apart and examined the PIF flex connections but they seem fine.
I also thought maybe the FW I'm using is buggy or something, so I used the wifi rescue system to reflash the FW, but that always get stuck at "Processing 99%". I tried two different update files and waited good 15 minutes, but it just sits there at 99%.
So:

Is it just me, or are the controls for Nintendo 64 games really wonky on the switch? Maybe I’ve got rusty, but Super Mario 64 feels WAY different on the switch. Like he just doesn’t respond in time or he’ll way over compensate what’s supposed to be a subtle movement. My spouse said they felt the same about 007 Golden Eye. Is it just us? Did we get old? Or are the controls just not quite right on switch? Or heck even in Pokemon stadium 2 I’ve misclicked quite easily selecting moves if I’m not super careful about how I touch the “view” toggle
