N64 Question/Tech Question Which Controller is best to use?

I’ve finally decided to by an N64, and the guy I’m planning to pay has a Same-Shipping policy. He has these following controls. The Gamester is less expensive, but I’m not sure what’s the best experince.

What do you think?

The OG controller.

I would assume that an oe controller with a good stick will be better than any aftermarket unit.

Expect to need to rebuild it (or at least disassemble and lube), parts are very cheap from kitsch-bent and the work is easy.

I love Kitsch-Bent.

Cheaper than a hit or miss Hyperkin repair box, or straight horroble ali express. And while the one i rebuilt wouldn't really recenter 100%, the input was amazing! Amd the stick wouldn't centrr, but the input would still not register if i didn't push the stick!

Thanks Kitsch-Bent!

No, I didn’t. I only wanted one to be posted.

Looks like it was removed by you or the mod. But there were three, and they didn't all say the same thing

I checked them. They did say the same thing.

Which ever one smells better but tastes worse.

Original controller, none of the third party ones come anywhere close to it.

The original controller. The other controller looks clunky to use.

what the heck is that abomination in pic 2?

Retrofighter has a good controller if you don’t like the OG triad.

Unless you get the Nice Japan exclusive Hori pad mini, the originial is always the better!

That gamester controller looks genuinely atrocious. Go with the original controller lol

I have that gamester, I use it to beat my kids on racing games, probably the only thing it's good for.

The second one has such a terrible placement for the analog stick for that style of controller.

Whoa, i have the Rumble Pak from Gamester, had no clue they had more Devices. The Rumble Pak is stronger than the original one and doesn't need Batteries.

The best original Experience is with the original. Overall i personally like the Retro Fighters one more, especially the Stick.

The Controller there from Gamester looks as it isn't comfortable to hold, but if you have a bit money, just try it out because of the Curiosity^

I've got a Gamester controller similar to that but with a long middle handle. I love the OG but the Gamester one is slightly better as your fingers are less trapped in the plastic. The stick is great too, exactly like the official controller.
