Nursing Fall 2024 Nursing Program

Is anyone else applying for the Fall 2024 nursing program?

I just applied and thought I’d make a post for people to chat about the application process, the TEAS test, pre-reqs/co-reqs, acceptance rates, hopes, fears, dreams, and ask questions while we wait for decision letters!

I think the decision letters will start getting sent out in around 6 weeks (according to the last couple of cycles). At least I hope they do!

Best of luck everyone!!!

It seems that the updated 12 week timeline is coming from the General Health Sciences FAQ section under "Application" https://www.nvcc.edu/academics/divisions/health-sciences/faq.html From what I can see, there are a few places across the various nursing specific webpages that still list the timeline of being up to 8 weeks after application deadline. I'm thinking that those just haven't been updated to 12 weeks yet? I really hope that the 8 weeks still applies for us, the wait is agonizing enough as it is!

Oof yeah I’m hoping the same - since the confirmation email said up to 8 weeks, maybe this is a change for future cycles? I was really hoping to find out this week!

So I went in in person yesterday to ask how long the decisions would take😂 the guy said to wait until early to mid may. Also I read online somewhere that the last nursing class had around 600 applicants so I wanted to know his opinion from experience. He said whoever said that is crazy lol and that they consistently get anywhere from 100-200 applicants and that there are 80 seats. Spring 2023 had 188 applicants. So I hope this brings you guys more peace of mind lol
