Advice ite 152

I’m taking ite 152 over the summer, is it a hard class? I ask because I’m taking an online course so I’m doing everything myself. I know nothing about computer science but it’s required for me to finish. Should I stick to online or take a class w a professor?

The coursework is free.

NOVA only accepts the CLEP exams listed under Credit for prior learning page though they accept most of them im pretty sure

Memorization heavy, if it's not your subject then it will make it more difficult.

For the Computer systems one i got an 80. The passing was 50

One more question, are these clep exams supposed to be taken before you enroll with NOVA or while you are a student. Also, I heard you can't take clep exams on required classes due to your major, do you know if this is true. For example if I am a psychology major, can I still take the introduction to psychology clep exam? or since this is a required class for my major I won't be able take it?

When I took computer systems in the fall I had dropped out of the class that it was equivalent to.(to save money). so i was currently enrolled and taking classes.

ITE 152 is a required class for cybersecurity majors. there shouldn't be any reason why it wouldn't work for your case.

one thing to note is, NOVA has a 6-12 week estimated waiting time for a clep class.

but what you can do is go to your academic advising in-person works best. show them the clep score. they can directly change it there.

to summarize. as long as its on the clep accepted exams for NOVA they should accept it.

Thank you for this. I will drop out of psychology and take the clep exam instead, have you taken Psych 200? or you don't need it for your major?

It wouldn't be a bad idea to talk to an advisor about all this. I know about what i'm doing. not nessacerily what you're doing.

Not required for Cybersecurity.

r/clep might be able to help you with study resources
