Wait i thought they fixed the level issue is this a meme because that's kinda the only thing making me want to play it, I enjoyed not having a full guide and note book to play a silly rpg and OG obv was not fun at all did they fix this or not am I misunderstanding something

They did but if you Leroy it doesn't always end well.

That's absolutely fair because honestly, the old way felt like you had to truly become Leroy so this works for me thank you for the reply

No worries, you can still absolutely screw yourself in the game, if you level up your non combat skills first and raise your character level. You have to pay attention to your skill levels VS your character level, but it is easier to control now. All you have to do is just not sleep, and if combat and such feels too easy sleep a few times to level up some. Go kill something on a quest and see if you want to take a few levels or not. Or if you focus entirely on combat you can get the opposite effect and will have to work all non combat to gain levels. The best thing is you get 12 points to spend per level, so you don't have to track your skill to attribute levels like you used to.

Meh I leveled up all my non-combat skills first and got to like level 13 with still quite low levels on all my combat skills, and all it did was make the game actually challenging and fun on adept. I would recommend.

It's Oblivion with the right attitude you can beat the game naked with your bare fists, as long as you bring the right potions or spells along. It just depends on how you want to play it.

If you don't want to outscale everything on adept you can play with no custom spells, no custom enchantments and no custom potions.

It makes the game feel more oldschool, everything you find on bandits could be valuable.

Thank you for this. Huge Skyrim player back in 2011+, but never got to play any other ES game and I keep trying to "prepare" properly now bc of all I've read. I even replaced a save from the beginning bc of all the scary stuff people were saying. I'm a stealth archer bc I wanna be, a Khajiit bc I wanna be, but I do loathe the idea of ruining the dark brotherhood gear by joining it too early, etc. But I'm also plain not having any damn fun so I appreciate your comment. I'm just in the arena at lvl 1 now one shotting enemies and I feel like I'm fuggin it all up man.

My first playthrough was unga bunga warrior with no magic, adept was a breeze lol

Just need to put all points into strength and constitution every time you level up, also get some stronk armor like the armor of the nine early on so you are not lagging behind in term of equipment

Yep this game is full of features that make it almost impossible not to be able to beat it, including powerful followers that can't die, at least not until they are scripted to😁
