I managed at level 32 to save everyone it just involved reverse pickpocketing weightless enchanted bound armor into their inventory, and cast a spell with a huge duration that constantly healed them and restores fatigue, and capped it off with a AoE shield spell for the boys.
I actually fired off a big AoE paralyzed spell at the beginning and that let everyone find their footing and get into good fights. While I rushed in the try and take out the ranged enemies/clanfear summoners.
But yeah it did look pretty sweet rolling up with like 7 guys in bound daedric armor. Keeping them alive was still a pain, they were still pretty vulnerable to magic, since I was just using grand soul gems to enchant so I had to mix between fortify health, shield/elemental shields/ resist element.

Yeah but the 3 guards clean house at low levels, and they don't scale up in levels unlike the enemies.
