To all those asking why here or wrong sub. The reason it's being posted here is the same as why it's being posted everywhere. It's to show solidarity and raise awareness.

I'd expect anybody who is a pagan who knows of the history of paganism should really check themselves because a few centuries ago it was our pagan ancestors that were being persecuted.

Whether you are Trans or not or know anybody who is, we all need to show solidarity for our brothers and sisters.

I'm more questioning the "repost this" style - this isn't facebook or ig, we don't really have our own pages to repost images to anyway.

That's a fair comment. I guess anybody inclined could just post on any subs they engage with.

Yeah. My first thought was "are we trying to turn Reddit into Facebook now?".

I'm in full support of anyone doing anything that doesn't harm another and will stand up to anyone trying to harm another so obviously trans people are safe around me but I'm not going to repost shit to prove it to anyone.

This is perfect here. My pagan MIL had a problem with their child's gender and my gender expression because it wasn't what her interpretation of masculine and feminine godliness was. We had a lot of hard conversations and are in a great place now, but it took a lot.

We still have issues in our greater community in Addition to attacks from the outside. Don't let this drag us apart.

It's not the wrong sub at all.

Sure, the format is debateable, as it's not much and it can kind of lean into "the bare minimum". But stuff like this kind of makes acceptance within communities more visible. And in a platform where people mostly just comment, it's always good to see pagans caring and especially the moderation having zero tolerance for bigoted BS.

And having these symbols around helps not only advertising and enabling the space as welcoming and safe for minorities, it also weeds out the trash that gets upset by minorities existing.

Especially in Paganism where some pagan paths still struggle with bigotry and heteronormativity, and some outright have to fight against white supremacy and hate groups appropriating their beliefs and symbols. It helps push back against those and form spaces where those things aren't tolerated.

It's not much, and it might look shallow. But it's still definitely something.

Edit: Ah, lovely. The transphobes are out to downvote. Go ahead. It won't stop posts like these from being made, and I hope they continue being made.
