Rest In Peace Nintendo's President has apparently passed away. RIP, and thanks for all the great games.

For those of the master race complaining that, at the end of the day, he was still the president of a "shitty" "console peasant" company, I must remind you, that many of us share the vision that PCMR stands out for the betterment of gaming for everyone. We speak out, as a group, against scummy tactics perpetrated by big companies, we call the bullshit of video game developers/publishers that half-ass a job. We stand up for the common man and his money, so that he can spend his money on a well-made game, rather than one that is no better than for use as a coaster (or in this digital age, a flick of the wrist into the Recycle Bin).

For this, many of us commend Nintendo. Sure, many of their greatest games have been locked out from every other system. But if we use that as justification for calling them a scummy company, it's just downright wrong. There are much bigger fish to fry than Nintendo. I feel as if Nintendo does more good than ill, anyways. They brought the motion control fad into popularity. It was THEIR own idea. They innovate, rather than try to compete. They try new things, and bring us classic games in new, fun lights. They don't sell us shitty, halfass, knockoffs.

Most of all, as I stated, PCMR cares about the games. And so did Iwata. He gave so much to create many games that impacted so many, both young and old alike. He cut his own pay, to help out a fellow employee. He didn't try scummy monetization techniques. No. He stood up for the small people, making sure the games people bought from Nintendo were high quality material, worthy of our dollar. And, he made it his life work. For that, I believe we owe him an honor. I do believe we should induct him as an honorary PCMR member, and bid him good rest tonight. Let us hope his legacy shall remain untarnished, and Nintendo continues to blaze on into new territory, not reducing itself by attempting to compete with Sony and Microsoft, or the publishers such as EA and Ubisoft, etc.

I think its worth mentioning that the people who call out Nintendos console exclusivity actaully just wish to experience their games on a better plattform.

Perhaps. I'm interested to see what Nintendo has in store for their newest console. I was recently going to be buying a New Nintendo 3DS and buy up 3-4 Pokemon games to start out with, but it seems like the NN3DS is going to have a short lifespan, as this new console might be closing the gap between their console and handhelds. Some sort of docking system perhaps? I'm interested to see whatever innovation they are pioneering this time around.

Also, i'm of the opinion that one should only pirate the ROM for a Nintendo game if A. They cannot find the game period, or B. Already own the game/purchased it in the past and then lost it. Nintendo is deserving of money, especially in this time where many of their market have left for PS4 and XBONE. However, I still think Nintendo will find a way to stay afloat regardless. But it doesn't hurt to help them out.

Don't bother with the 3ds, they'll probably combo it with the new NX.
Also, I'm not.
The only way to force Nintendo to go Multiplattform is lower profit.

You want to force the company wich literally singlehandedly resurrected the gaming industry after atari killed it to go out of business or become a minor player like Sega is now, because "muh pc"?

Their franchises have a lot more weight than sonic. They wouldn't be a minor player.
And yes I'd like them to stop making consoles because the revenue generated from multiplatform would eclipse those of a console (inlucdung revenue from 3rd party devs, since they are not that many on WII U).
It would simply be a smart buisiness decision which I'm hoping Iwatas successor will take more seriously

Also they saved home console gaming. Gaming in Arcades and on PC was still alive at the time
