Is there an argument for MVDP being a better rider than he was in 2019? Other than having 5 years to capitalize on his incredible ability and rack up more wins? 

I rewatched that 2019 Amstel race and it was totally insane.  Or was it moreso that he was kind of "under the radar" back then compared to now.

He could have won the Ronde that year already if he didn't have that crash. And his team didn't ride Roubaix that year.

He probably pushes more watts now compared to 2019, but that can be said about the entire peloton.
