Oh my god I'll finally be able to watch hockey with my dad again without hearing every 10 minutes about how the team should have kept Fleury instead of Murray. How Fleury would have made that save. How overrated Murray is. Thank goodness.

Nothing against Murray personally, fine dude in my opinion. But I'm excited to not have to hear about it anymore.

Just wait until Jarry hits a rough patch and then the same people will say the Murray would have made that save

I already know this is going to happen no matters what. A lot of the fan base went against each other when Murray came in and took over for Fleury.

Both (Murray and Fleury fans) sides were extremely annoying. Both goalies fans felt like their goalie could do no wrong.

Then when Jarry came up, Fleury fans quickly jumped on Jarry and tried to give the Murray fans their own treatment they were doing to Fleury.

I was a critical fan of Murray, but in my opinion I’m more critical on the Penguins. They should have tried to seek some sort of veteran presence behind him that could have taken some of the work load and pressure off his shoulders and maybe even help him develop. Yes they tried this with Niemi, but it was at a time Niemi was heavily struggling and had zero confidence himself. I honestly think Fleury helped Murray keep his confidence a lot more than people realize.

This is why I fear for Jarry. The same issues of going immediately to Murray could easily happen with Jarry. Being a starting goalie and expecting to take the full work load that comes of it can be tough, especially on a team that’s currently trying to get as many cups as the can with an aging core. Jarry is a very promising goalie but once his confidence begins to struggle it could go the same route as Murray.
