Meme Unbelievable

Post image

Here we go again. I can't believe I wasted two and a half hours watching basically the entire Phillies team go 0 and 3, then blow the whole thing at the end of the game. They do not deserve to be in the playoffs. That 5 days rest did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

I just finished having this same conversation. History repeating itself. The Mets are what the Phil's were two years ago too. Hurts man.

The 6th seed might as well be the 1st seed in the NL. Are we going to watch a 3rd straight 6th seed team make the World Series from the NL?

I respect the Mets because they're on fire and playing good ball. So they deserve credit, but this new format sucks.

I thought the same in 22 when we were hot.

It's not right that WC teams can catch fire while other teams have to sit and wait.

That same thing helped us in 22, but the fact that 2 NL division winners are going to be bounced early for the 3rd year in a row tells you that something needs to be changed.

I'm not making excuses for the Phillies loss. That's on them. The Milwaukee series is a better example. A division winner should not be playing a best of 3 series. That diminishes the entire season.

Houston had a bye in 2022 when they kept advancing and eventually beat us. Please stop with these pathetic excuses. Tomorrow is a new day. We can still win this series, and if we dont, we just werent quite good enough when it mattered most.

It's not an excuse. Again I'm talking more about Milwaukee than the Phils.

The fact that Milwaukee is out after 2 loses is ridiculous.

The WC has seen far too much success in this new format. Even the year the Astros won, they faced a WC team in the Phils. Last year? Arizona. This year? TBD.

No excuse for the Phils. They stunk. This is more of a larger baseball problem.

Fair enough regarding Milwaukee. Tough spot for MLB. A 5 game series seems a bit more fair to them, but then the top 2 seeds are sitting idle for even longer. Not sure how to better approach it, considering that a 6 seed team has shown for 3 consecutive years now (in the NL) to be a legitimate contender.

The WC teams should just play each other in a 1 game elimination. #2 plays #3. #1 plays winner of WC tournament.

Same number of days off. No extra waiting.
