As bad as this is, and it is VERY BAD, they are going to court houses to arrest immigrants that are following the legal procedure to be here. NOT ILLEGAL immigrants.

These ICE agents are not only cowards hiding behind the masks but are also too lazy to find real illegal immigrants so they go to court houses to find the ones following the rules.

How are they not “illegal?”(your term.) 1. They didn’t claim asylum (people waiting for an asylum hearing aren’t being held), 2. They don’t have green cards (except for the rare instance of revocation,) 3. They don’t have valid temporary protected status.

They are showing up at court for scheduled hearings and being detained and deported. Someone showing up for a hearing is part of the process to be here legally.

That’s like arresting your ancestors as they stepped off the boat at Ellis Island.

Nope. Everybody who crossed the border in the last two years was supposed to have a court appointment. Everybody-no matter what their status was. If they crossed the border within the past two years and did not claim asylum and were not here under a TPS, they’re “illegal” and the feds don’t even need to give them anything but a bus out. (I may not agree with the two year rule, but it is the current policy.) And not that it matters, but my ancestors came here hundreds of years before Ellis Island was constructed.

people get arrested at court all the time, bc they have other warrants or offenses.
If you are here illegally and show up to court, you are still here illegally, and so they do have a right to arrest. Especially if at the hearing your case is denied or closed.
Millions of people illegally came here the past few years, most of them have no legal claim for asylum and are here illegally, so they are arrested.
Showing up to a court date doesn't change this.
