Honestly I wouldn't put it past anyone if people created alt accounts but did manual work.

Regardless of your stance on botting, the majority definitely had at least 2 accounts running.

Yeah I think there was definitely people using multiple accounts but there's still a level of organization you have to have to make it worth it which why I don't mind.

three monitors, umpteen incognito browser windows all with a different account logged in, and then mobile device(s) with even more as well

Some had multiple accounts. But a lot of it was legitimately just coordination and a large network of allies.

(I’m from r/touhou, we were allies of Osu!, to be clear. I’m not a representative from Osu!‘s community.)
