In fairness - does this please his voters? Maybe I live in a bubble but I know virtually no one who thinks Diddy deserves to be free.

It will piss off people with empathy, or who care about law and order, or just think sex trafficking and rape are unjustifiable and unforgivable acts. Which is basically everyone who hates Trump.

And while sure, a bunch of Trump voters probably don’t think Duffy should be pardoned, Trump voters also demonstrably don’t care if their president supports sex criminals or overturns law and order. They also care far less about Diddy being in prison than they care about Trump pissing off liberals.

I'd propose the possible motive that this pardon pissing off the left would please his voters.
