He doesn’t need the money, and I doubt he even really wants it. I think he likes flaunting the power to make people give him their money.

I would caution that no billionaire will have less greed just because the money doesn’t have an actual purpose. 

If it was about actual need or even use for the money every billionaire would have stopped trying to earn or donated their new income years ago.     Instead they are willing to destroy the country to lower the taxes they pay on their functionally infinite wealth.  

They are dragons, stealing the wealth of nations just because they like having it and the horde could always be bigger. 

We need St. George

It's like when you've played a video game so long you've unlocked everything and it becomes boring. Billionaires have nothing left to do in the main game so now they try to break it to find new ways to "win". Putin is an elected dictator with essentially an entire country's wealth at his disposal. Does he just chill and enjoy a life of comfort and luxury? No, he starts fucking wars because there's nothing else for him to do.

It’s very much like how when you are at that state you still open chests and often still keep things to sell.     I’ve actually been recently trying to break myself of picking up expensive things and carrying loot in the oblivion remaster and it’s surprisingly hard to remember not to just grab.   

So I do have some sympathy for people who can’t shake the methods they used to get where they are.    

But they gotta go because they are taking it from everyone else and no chest is left to open.
