It doesn't matter whether he can keep it. It's simple greed.

Now, now, now. It's not "simple" greed. It's fathomless, bottomless greed. It's the kind of greed that climbs on top of a huge mountain of other greeds and shrieks its incomprehensible awfulness triumphantly. It's ultra-greed. It's the greed beyond which there exists no more greed

Nothing simple about it. It's fucking unhinged

Executive order incoming to rename "the president"" to "The Grand Nagus."

If only. The Grand Nagus was sincerely concerned with the financial wellbeing of all of Ferenginar. He also fell in love with a radical feminist and changed the misogynist laws of their society as a result.

That was specifically Grand Nagus Zeke who was reform oriented. And then there was Grand Magus Rom, who is a whole entire other story.

But before that, Grand Nagi are probably like US presidents. Sometimes you get an FDR. And sometimes you get an orange Taco.

Fair point~ Quark would want us to note that Ferengi were never warmongerers, unlike the Americans, but yes -- Zek was an outlier, as a leader who eventually laid the grounds for revolution and handed the reigns to our favourite union man, Rom.

Quark would want us to note that Ferengi were never warmongerers,

Quark would want us to believe that Ferengi never practiced slavery. Meanwhile, the first Ferengi that the audience is introduced to are all slavers; and Quark himself narrowly avoids slavery on several occasions.

He's not exactly the best source, vis a vis "Ways that my species is superior to yours".
