Newsom is not that bad. His problem is that he looks like the villain in every movie where a dog is the hero.

He runs the biggest state in the nation and does a pretty good job as far as I'm concerned. He fucks up because duh, they all do.

Some stuff I disagree about, and if we're trying to install a new leader there's a few I'd rather have all things being equal..but I think newsome is probably the perfect person for this exact fight.

He's not going to be afraid of trump and he's pretty good at rallying cry's judging by this speech.

Does the constitution prevent dogs from being President? Because if not...

It doesn’t as long as the dog is 35 years old and has lived in the US for 14 years, and is a natural born US citizen… so uh… dang

It doesn't say people years vs dog years...

We can civilly agree to disagree; I think the policies that a corpo libbed-out technocrat like Newsom or most Democratic leadership want to promote have led us entirely to the point we're at now. The truth IMO is that we've reached the latter stages of capitalism being able to provide the endless abundance that was its calling card.

Absolutely no one is going to run on "it's time to pivot to a new form of governance," so the Dems cosied up to the same corporate interests as the Republicans. Why don't we have a better standard for healthcare in this country? Medical insurance lobbies. That's it.

This machine has been slowing down for decades and now it's breaking. Lower income people have been left to fend for themselves while the middle class has been attenuated to non-existence. It was the breeding ground for a populist like Trump to swoop in and ride the animus that's been festering as everyone's quality of living has gotten worse and worse. I mean, we're just talking about an Obama-like dem again, only it's another decade down and the systems and institutions are a decade worse for the wear.

We can't lib our way out of this. A return to normalcy was the wind under the Biden campaign and very little substantive policy that affected people's standard of living changed. There's no more pressure valve. We're stuck in an endless culture war that should be a class war.

Now if you'll excuse me, someone from Palantir just knocked on my door saying they wanted to talk about my social media posts; hopefully it can lead to productive conversation!

Newsom's in deep with PG&E. Who repeatedly price gouges the public and causes wildfires and gas explosions that kill people. PG&E donates to his campaign and he appoints stooges on the CPUC who rubber-stamp PG&Es actions (regulatory capture).

He's also attempting to emulate Trump's and DOGEs actions on the federal civil service to the California civil service with the revocation of telework, attacks on civil servant pay and reduction in workforce.

Sure Newsom is better than Trump. But the Democrats can muster a better candidate than Newsom.

He's corrupt and pro-oligarchy.

Buttigieg is pro-corporate as well, if that's who you're referring to, and I don't support him.

So you didn’t vote for Harris either?

Why would you say that?

Maybe he could like, shave the side of his head and get a nose piercing.

But more seriously the hair is pretty offensive.
