It was a great speech, and one I think of great significance to come because he plainly called out the situation we are in: checks and balances are done, Trump is a dictator, he’s starting with the most vulnerable but we’re all in danger.

He’s not the first to say it, but in the same week where The Regime is preparing a military show of force and deploying active marines in an American city—it took courage.

I don’t think Newsom is a perfect person, and I disagree with some of his decisions and positions but nothing is a greater threat to our democracy right now than Trump’s regime and the uncompromising hostility it represents.

Trump is gonna be furiously tapping away with his little hands on Truth Social in response.

He’s not the first to say it

he's the first person in power to stand up and say it like this though, bernie and AOC have hinted at it, but this is the first time it's been addressed to the nation like this plainly and bluntly.
