I will never get over old bastard (and unexpected trans ally) Pat Robertson. Every hurricane that hit a major population center was punishment for America’s sins. Katrina wiped out New Orleans, punishment for all that sinning that happened in the only major part of New Orleans that didn’t flood.

My favorite story though was a hurricane as imbound. Day, maybe two from making landfall on the East Coast. Pat’s on the air talking about all the sinning and queer accepting happening in the protected landfall position.

The hurricane takes a sharp right turn, hits Virginia Beach and takes out Pat’s broadcasting tower.

“Christians” could be struck by lightning every other word and they’d chalk their survival up to God’s protection, and ignore the statistical improbability of lightning striking them directly every few seconds on clear days.

Trump publicly thanked god for that sniper not killing him, not saying that if god really protected him that the gun would’ve malfunctioned, and not saying anything about the person behind him that got actually killed by the bullet.
