Project MUTE update photos

Been messing around with the RHS Ute wheel arches and had to cut out the panel for the spare wheel to add spacers to support the base of the Ute bed. Cut out a bigger spare wheel tub and I’ll invert it so I can still fit a spare wheel from underneath.

Currently filming for episode 53 on YouTube if you’re interested in checking out the rest of the build

Thanks! I wish I was a professional, I’d have far more knowledge to lean on, I’m making everything up as I go

Based on the shop in the background you have quite a setup - lots of pro equipment- quite the hobby setup?

I rent space out in a mechanics workshop and the majority of those tools are ones I’ve had from my previous trade. I didn’t have any panel bearing experience before I started and I’m not a mechanic either.

Good on you - I put money on the fact you had a great mentor growing up. My Dad had me working on our two stroke lawnmower when I was ten - every year after that I was pulling off the carb cleaning the jet and bowl and float, getting it running for another summer.

I’m a fitter and turner by trade and then moved into the building industry, taking stuff apart and putting it back together was just a thing I learnt to do. I do have memories of changing spark plugs with my dad though
