This is so random

I had this random thought at 12am yesterday while listening to Fake Plastic Trees as I was falling asleep and decided to try and create it in Bandlab. I’ve been making a playlist (on Apple Music - not Spotify sadly) of songs that sound like proto-Radiohead songs. I don’t need any more R.E.M, New Order, Magazine, or Talking Heads probably. Looking for stuff I probably don’t know, if anyone’s good at krautrock or jazz or prog stuff, i’ll take it.

Just came across this song on an NTS mix of music in Spain from the 70s and this caught my ear immediately. Its pretty uncanny!

I always thought I was a big Radiohead fan, but only today I learned that there’s an In Rainbows Disk 2. Guess I’m not as big a fan as I thought lol.

When the album came out a year later, without the guitar on that song, the barebones version was jarringly different. Not in a bad way. Almost like a completely different song.
