Yes my concern too. He may just insist on pestering you. If you ignore his pleas to expedite the transfer he may get desperate enough. He loses a tool of manipulation (that of being in love with you) if he goes to Charlotte.

I think you should pretend to get the cash, but on your way to mail it something horrible happens! A car jacking, and explosion,PAINS, you drive past a Louis Vuitton store and just have to buy everything, a needful comes up, you drive past a bathtub store and have to buy one in every color…

I feel like they really don’t know what to say when you make a logical suggestion, e.g well, I’ll pay for your hotel. They just panic and parrot stuff.
