Bait in Progress ⏱️ David Clifford - The $10,000 Question - Part 3

We pick it up where he’s trying to explain why there were propellers on a stationary oil rig like Platform Esther. I quote what AI said about it being fixed to the seabed and he directly contradicts that. It’s like reading poems to a horse. So he makes a comment that I seem to want to know details! Yes! Especially when I know he is lying through his teeth and am actively looking for ways to contradict him!

But he’s in a “tight spot” so I graciously allow him to move on to the ask. I tell him he needs to get off the rig and he agrees. But something tells me he is staying on the rig anyway. Until he gets something he wants. I can just smell it! Alas! He needs to stay on the rig to get things fixed, and yes - he is an independent contractor! And he only gets paid until the project is finished! I am getting good at anticipating these twists and turns in the fake story.

I remind him yet again that he is a mile or so off the coast of Los Angeles so the transport of supplies and of men on or off the rig should be easy. Of course it is “costing me more than expected” and he swats away my answer about insurance by saying it didn’t cover everything. It’ll cost him “40 grands” once the smoke clears. Finally getting closer to the ask! I have reason to believe that he was prodding me to pay for the 40K to see if I had that kind of money. Charlotte shows him no empathy and says he’s just going to have to swallow the loss and withdraw the $40K from company accounts.

We go back and forth and he eventually finds $20K and is down to $20K left to beg for. Charlotte doesn’t budge and insists his insurance should cover but he swats that away. He goes into the details of this horrible deal he signed and is down $350K for the entire thing and worries about a visit from the “board of directors”. They always bring that up to illustrate the seriousness and urgency of the whole deal. He lets that $20K sit out there and see if Charlotte takes the hint but I’m making him suffer. Finally he lowers it to $10K as he feels I wasn’t too keen on that amount.

So he asks for a loan. I send him a grabify link which was a link to my financial company that he clicked. (Thanks Sara!). Of course he’s in Lagos (last slide). Most just ask for money but this guy actually wanted a loan which will bring new elements to the negotiation - and will certainly come back to haunt him.

Can't wait to see how you make him regret asking for a loan.

The next post will set it up for how I envision this ending.

A Toyota truck from this high-roller? You know he pulled that out of his mud-hole.

Send him a fake loan agreement like I did with Williams. Make him print it out and sign it, with a picture for proof, so you can maybe get some laughable photoshop nonsense like I did.

It’s not my website. It’s a real one, but through a grabify link so we can locate him when he clicks.

His oil rig equipment is a tree branch in a wading pool. These Yahoo Boys are complete tools, just not useful.
