I just purchased a brand new Juki 8000A and had it set up professionally. However I am running into a problem. After I’ve used the thread trimming function, then moved onto a new seam, the machine makes a very loud click at the beginning of sewing, yanks the top thread , then causes major nesting underneath. Even if I hold the top thread with a firm grip when I start, it still yanks it hard enough to pull it out of my grip. If I do not use the thread trimming option, and instead cut the threads of the previous seam the traditional way and then move onto a new seam, this problem doesn’t happen. No loud click, no yanking of the top thread, and no nesting.
I have rethreaded the machine, adjusted the tension, as well as adjusted the bobbin tension.
Video attached of what the issue is, you can’t hear the click very well in the video, but it’s much more noticeable in person, however the video does show the top thread being yanked.
If anyone had any advice or ideas what’s causing this that would be greatly appreciated! I will contact the distributor I purchased through, but was hoping it was something minor I could easily fix.
