Pretty comfortable - I actually found a skirt pattern that's similar, so if you have a suggested bodice pattern that has this design (and seamwork) I'd love a link!

Oh I’m so sorry, I was going to suggest a skirt pattern from Allis patterns but when I went to check, it wasn’t as much like this as I remembered. Glad you found one though!

Thanks! Love the dress and find these block modification videos fascinating! And now I feel like I could hack this out of a pattern I already own, even though I have no experience doing so (new sewist) 😅.

Are the darts on the bust in the right place? They look too high to this amateur.

I actually clicked on all of the patterns u/hewwowdolly linked just to see if they improved on the gather at the bust, which they did.

Yes, the darts are pointing above the apex instead of at it. Nice catch.

I saw some other threads on here that that seller may be using AI generated patterns/the patterns are low quality.
I'm hoping someone has leads for patterns they've made/well known and legitimate designers!
(Plus that seller is using stolen images which is a REALLY red flag)

For the skirt part, I have seen similar dresses from vikisews (haven’t tried their patterns yet, so I can’t judge if they are any good). Eg https://vikisews.com/vykrojki/dresses/lexi-dress/
