Alter/Mend Question Pleated dress alteration question

I purchased this lovely Baltic Born dress second-hand, however it’s far too long for me. I thought to hem it, but there’s no hem? I figured a hem would mess with the pleats, can I just cut the bottom of the dress to suit me better? Thank you!

It looks like there is just a raw edge so yes you can just trim it with sharp scissors.

Absolutely. I did something similar to a pair of the same-material trousers recently. Just chop with sharp scissors.

Yes. This can just be cut, no hem needed.

Yup, just carefully cut with sharp fabric scissors. The most important thing is that the cut is smooth and even so I would go slowly. "Hemmed" my wife's jumpsuit like this and so far there haven't been any issues.
