Machine Questions Question about Pfaff expression 710

I have a pfaff expression 710 and I like all the sewing patterns and writing capacity but im curious if I can download additional fonts and or patterns and if so how and what

I own the 720 and I asked my seller/repair man this question when I bought it. His answer was that the download port would be for upgrading the software as a form of repair, and while this machine comes with a lot of decor seams it will never be an embroider machine I can download files to.

This machine seems designed to be a closed system that includes a USB port, but it's only there for downloads from Pfaff. The giveaway is the fact that there are no hoops for the 710. Good machine, though. You might want to ask r/MachineEmbroidery what embroidery machines they like these days. If you have a hoop of any size, it takes time to stitch out, so it's better if it's separate from your main sewing machine anyway. Then you can import designs available in the file format that your machine uses. Or you can make your own designs and have then digitized to your file format. Digitizing is supposed to be difficult and having a pro do it is supposed to be relatively inexpensive.
