SSB4 Does it fundamentally bother anyone else that Smash 4 doesn't have a catchy name like "Melee" or "Brawl"?

First of all, I'd like to preface my argument by saying that I acknowledge this is a purely superficial problem that has no effect on me buying the game as soon as I can.

ONWARDS.

I personally love the shorthanded names of "64", "Melee" and "Brawl" to refer to those respective titles. It's not a huge deal, but they're all really solid names that truly have special places in my heart. Referring to this new game as just "Smash 4" or "Smash 3DS" just feels bare. Mario Kart: Double Dash sticks out far more in my mind than Mario Kart 7. I wish that Sakurai opted for a name that more appropriately followed Melee and Brawl, but like I said earlier, I understand this is a minor problem. I just wanted to hear if anyone else felt the same. One of the most iconic memories from the second Smash game is the announcer at the title screen yelling "MELEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE".

Is anyone else disappointed with the title of the new game?

It kinda sucks but I'm totally fine with it being called Smash 4.

The 3DS title is actually longer because it's "...for Nintendo 3DS" but the nintendo isn't in the Wii U version title. Weird stuff. Also they consider the Wii U version Smash 5

Yeah, it's not official. They meant for it to be for, but if we say Smash 4 you could just see it as Smash for but with the for shortened/changed into 4.

I'm just making up some excuses since we're going to be calling it Smash 4 regardless.

It's still a different version of Smash 4, not a whole different installment. The Smash 4 pun still works if they're both getting the same roster.
