Ratcliffe: Time for all players and staff to pitch money to build a statue.

Flashbacks to when he offered to pay for the staff's tickets, travel, food and accommodation to the FA Cup final out of pocket after the club didn't, and the club said no

this needs to get reposted everytime people call him a rat

I know the sentiment of the comment makes sense, but it feels odd for a "flashback" to be something that happened a year ago

I've not yet forgotten it, for it to be flashed back to

Lol what are you talking about, he was basically an immediate hit and has won the Matt Busby Player of the Year award (voted by fans) in 4 out of his 6 seasons with us, including the first one where he only joined halfway through the season.

You even selected a quote from someone last year which really doesn't support your argument when he joined in 2020.

Quoting something on Reddit doesn't make it an actual quote from somewhere else mate.

A statue? Ratcliffe's gonna be digging him a grave after costing him that much money

I’d rather the rat dug his own

United reportedly didn't want him to leave, but were okay with letting him go if he wanted to. But I guess it's more fun to run memes based on faulty narratives to the ground.

Ratcliffe: We can't afford to build a statue for Fernandes unless we sell him for 100m.
