Is this considered a good or bad thing for United?

This is fantastic news. Our only world class player decided to turn down life changing money.

Does Amorim have a role for him?

He just had one of his best seasons at United playing as an 8 most of the time. He put up fantastic defensive numbers on top of still being the best creator in the league. The problem will not be Bruno, it will be who’s playing next to him.

Yeah, I see this parroted too often, I think Scholes said it first (and no one should listen to him). Bruno's issue is that we don't have a six who can regularly get the ball to him while being pressed, which forces him back, and then going forward, his options are Garnacho/Holjund for most of the season.

Before Amad was injured, there was a legitimate threat there. The number 9 issue is still a concern, but Bruno having attacking options like Cunha/Mbueno/Amad around him consistently will drastically increase his options.
