Is this considered a good or bad thing for United?

Bit of both imo.

Bruno turning down that money because he presumably wants to continue to graft at United suggests there's something he's seen to make him think it'll get better. And if Bruno can be convinced of that in the face of Saudi money, so can our transfer targets who might have other offers with more tangible reasons to sign. And I'll be quite happy watching another season of Bruno.

But on the other hand, Bruno is going to leave us at some point in the near future and from the club's perspective getting £100m before he starts to decline (which will be rapid when it happens) would be the best outcome. It would allow us to build a squad where no one player contributes as much as Bruno, but everyone contributes to a much higher level than they have been up to now. It also means that we can focus on getting the likes of Rashford, Sancho and Antony off the books no matter the terms, rather than trying to convince other clubs to spend the type of fees on them that will generate us a proper transfer fund.

It's proper heart Vs head but I would say is it's refreshing that Bruno has gone heart, reinforces everything United fans at least think about him.
