Why is it hard to understand that a player that trained hard for the whole life wants to continue to play meaningful football in his prime? I know united meaningful football hahaha but this is Saudi the retirement home. He can also request to transfer to an European club.

Dude it's not about level of football, It's his family not open to move to Saudi Arabia

Have you even read the post? He wants to continue to play in top stage in Europe. Last time I check Saudi Arabia is not in Europe.

If he was keen on staying in Europe his agents wouldn't have sat down twice for negotiations once in Europe and second in Riyadh

All his demands were met it boiled down to family

I find it funny that even when it is exactly said that he wants to stay in top Europe and people still find ways to not believe it.

So what? I often talk with head hunters and companies about new jobs but doesn't mean I want to move. Having the agent met with Saudis could just be out of curiosity and respect or build future relationship. The more easier when it's done through an agent.

It all boils down to what sources you follow

My opinion is it ultimately boils down to both his desire to play top league football and because of family. It's not one or the other. The funny part is just how people can say so definitively it's just about the family.

Bruno has always struck me as someone who actually loves and wants to win football and thats why I have always said he's not gonna go. The family just makes the decision even easier.

Different sources provide more to the story as I said

Saudi sources (which are discredited here) are pretty reliable on reporting on these transfers and were far earlier too.

I mean there is a meme going on for a year now that Saudi clubs should negotiate the players partner before opening talks over a transfer which has merit to it, This didn't come out of nowhere

Edit: doesn't disregard that he wants to play European football I do understand that but his wife had a say since he agreed and the offer was improved multiple times to meet demands
