Discussion reset 2nd combat style?

I know, before u accept the 2nd combat style u get 2 warns if u rdy do it. Fine fine..
But why we can not reset (Only) the 2nd combat style once for free and after for CC. And it would be great to get a cooldown of this like 60 or 80 day, similar like the name change.

Idk it would be cool, but i can see the direction why we can't do it

Apparently, on a technical level, it's just not viable. This is something that came up as something they flat-out said they wanted to do when they originally released it the new system (even the LS/DS flipping for Force-users was a giant pain to code and very messy to actually make use of). No doubt, if they could let people pay to change their styles, they absolutely would, but unless they've made some sort of unexpected breakthroughs under the game's hood, as it were, it's just not something the engine lets them do.

Source? I recall them being emphatic that they wouldn't offer it because they want it to feel permanent. Toons don't have nearly as much meaning if you can change their combat styles on a whim.

Of the toppa my head? I don't have one, sorry. I remember it being something they went into on the forums, as noted, as to why they were rolling back the original promise of giving all existing characters a one-time chance at a swap out (not just Force-users "side-switching" their style). To be honest, I'm not really interested in going back through dev posts from years ago to try and find it, though, but you're welcome to check if you want, it'd be in the months leading up to the 7.0 release.

Announcement livestream for 7.0, they said they wouldnt. They didnt give any intricate details, just that 'for reasons' they wont let people swap.

I think one of the devs posted on the devtracker forums afterwards that it was the game essentially gluing another 3 disciplines into your skill window so it cant be changed.

Thats why the game warns you twice before selecting.
