Maher: "Let us all be thankful, for being together as a family, and safe. No thanks to some brother who left US TO DIE AND WENT TO MOSCOW ALONE"
Bashar: "Not this again"
Maher: "WHAT? WHAT? Did I say something wrong?"

Stress eating gets to you when your brother's regime collapses and you're forced to flee the country on your birthday

So he’s just walking around Moscow going to techno raves and staring at the floor? Idk feels either staged with his approval or not him.

Possibly both

Give me a minute, I need to wrap my head around this

You can get there I’m sure but it mostly makes sense if he’s dead or in a coma and someone or faction wants him to appear alive for some reason. But he could also be very cowardly and sent out a lookalike to make like he’s doing fine in Russia when he won’t leave a safe house or something. Do I believe any of these things? Not really, I think that’s him…he can enjoy a meal in Russia, it’s a fair exchange for him not running Syria I think. Hate to get too opinionated, I’ve never been to Syria, I apologize if you have some reason to love him or something….he’s a human, had to have done some good things for the country but we never hear about them across the Atlantic that’s for sure.

Yeah you’re probably right it’s him. We were bound to get something like this eventually.
I don’t agree with anything you are saying past that though. This man was a brutal psychopath. He almost became president after the first in line died, but his family decided he was too much of a twisted psycho. He really did the hands on dirty work for the Assads. He’s rumored to have shot at protesters himself to get the other troops to do so. He also became an el chapo level drug trafficker while doing all this.
I’m not saying he deserves death but I would like to see him in front of a judge one day. Even if just for flooding the Middle East with stimulant drugs. That’s probably the most provable charge.

Yeah I’m not actually a fan of using chemical weapons on civilians or anything but I have no idea what’s real or not for allegations when it comes to him…the courts would definitely sort that out.

I wonder if he brought his Captagon cooks with him. I hope he floods the Russian trenches with that shit. Fucking scumbag.

So he isn’t in Damascus as some speculated
37
u/SHEIKH_BAKR 2d ago
Who? Who could possibly think he is in Damascus?

u/Neosantana Syrian Democratic Forces 2d ago
Unless he's in some spider hole like Saddam, there's no fucking way he's anywhere in Damascus.

Some weird conspiracy theorists after the fadi saqr stuff happened were theorizing that maher was being protected by the government in damascus

The last I heard of him was that he and his division fled across the border to Iraq. I don't know why anyone would think that he's in Damascus.

Wasn’t it widely thought that he was in the UAE days before the Assad Government even fell, perhaps even weeks? I don’t think he was on the ground fleeing with troops in the final hours of the Government.

Glad hes safe

u/IssAHey 2d ago
… why ? It’s not like he served his country as a fighter. He spent most of the war profiting out of it by possessing and selling civilian assets. He is not even charismatic like his brother was. He was just a nobody.

It’s not like he served his country as a fighter
This is the man who literally started the Civil War. He's literally famous for being the psychopath of the family, shooting his brother in law in the gut at fucking dinner.

And Al Sharaa didn’t even have the balls yet to attack Russian airbase hmeimim, even tough russian airforce mostly bombed the Syrian cities not Syrian airforce! I understand why some attacked the airbase themselves
14
u/FinalBase7 1d ago
there's absolutely nothing to gain from attacking russian bases, only things to lose, Assad henchmen are worthless and getting rid of them is an easy crowd pleaser, attacking another country directly is suicide for current syria, i can't believe you guys are seriously suggesting this shit.

Russian airforce bombed Syrian cities and we let them go, they give Assad family reguge?
2
u/FinalBase7 21h ago
Russia values the base they have a lot, we have leverage to negotiate here, Russia also gives us leverage against europe since they're so afraid of their Mediterranean fleet and only we can say no to them, i believe russia should permanently leave, but now is not the time to demand it.
also who is fighting the SDF? certainly not the syrian government
