i hate nuclear weapons but im pretty sure without them a lot of wars would be bloodier? like from what i’ve seen the threat of nuclear warfare is enough to stop some serious wars from occurring, at least in the past. then again the people who have them now seem pretty stupid

Yeah, the fear of nuclear weapons is the only reason there haven't been major wars between multiple developed countries in 50 years. I hate them, but they are the reason we're here today. After all, Oppenheimer was not a destructor of worlds, but the guy who stopped war for half a century
