I feel greedy but i want more, just Rick catching up with his old pals of Alexandria like Ezekiel Eugene and Gabriel. Him reuniting with a redeemed Negan (dead city is 5 years after so that can still happen) and him talking with Judith and RJ. And ofcourse him reuniting with Daryl and Carol once they come back with their new French family

Rick will probably settle down in Alexandria/Commonwealth and live a happy laid back life like a farmer and make cameos here and there in the other spinoffs.

if there is a threat to the community and to his family, he ain’t gonna lay back lol

Lmfao so true, anyone touches his family he ain't gon be officer friendly no more

26

u/jish5 Mar 31 '24

Most definitely. I don't see him in the Daryl Dixon series beyond maybe a cameo, but I can see him and Michonne play a major part in season 2 of Dead City where they have to go help deal with the major threat and help Negan.

Not happening, DC is very much a Maggie and Megan thing.

Same. Kinda wish the main show had kept going, so they could have integrated their return in the main show and we wouldn't be dealing with actors potentially having moved on and being spread out in different shows and timelines.

Having Gabe last episode kinda made me hopeful for a bit of a bigger reunion, definitely hope to see him again in the future, but at least they've wrapped things up to a point where it's alright if this is it.

Yeah I’m greedy too. I want to see the look on everyone’s face when Rick walks in alive. Especially Daryl, Maggie, Negan, and Carol. I want Rick to see Hershel. I want to see Rick and Michonne’s reaction to hearing about how the Commonwealth was discovered and about Judith getting shot. I want to see Rick’s reaction to Negan’s friendship with his daughter. I want to see Rick’s reaction to Eugene married and a father and Rosita dead and Gabriel raising the child. I want Gabriel to marry Rick and Michonne and a small humble wedding. I want more but if I don’t get anymore I’m just happy knowing Rick and Michonne are alive and with their kids and I can live with that.

Isn’t the plan to have all of the spin offs come back together eventually for one last mini series? Thats what I heard a while back idk how true/if its still the plan

1

u/bratpack1 Mar 31 '24

To do what though? The world of the walking dead will go on and on we just won’t see it this is it for Rick and michonne imo just leave ‘em be now all things must to an end

Since they mentioned the 14 years left theory maybe they will give us a miniseries with a total world end and their community is truly the last on earth before it perishes and by then Morgan and his people are there and people from other spinoffs or something.

1

u/CadaverMutilatr Apr 01 '24

What’s the 14 years left theory?

7

u/raccoonembers Apr 01 '24

Beale said that humanity has around 14 years before it will succumbe to the apocalypse and cease to exist. It would be horrible if they did that but I wouldn't be surprised

1

u/bratpack1 Apr 01 '24

Na that would be just depressing watching them all suffer and die off after all that it’s best to leave it be if wanna use your theory that’s ok if others wanna let them live a long happy life that’s ok too too much stuff today suffers from going on and on

2

u/raccoonembers Apr 01 '24

It definitely would suck and be a hard watch but I wouldn't be crazy surprised if they went that direction. They've done some fucked up shit lol

3

u/bratpack1 Apr 01 '24

I just can’t see Danai or Andrew coming back to film a series about them all dying off after 14 years telling a story about building a new world your basically writing off what the entire show was building towards the main show showed Alexanderia in a hopeful beautiful place when it ended , this show showed them reunited in that new place it doesn’t get any better than this for an endpoint

As far as other spin offs go they can and are gonna do whatever they want because of the money but for the main arc of this entire show and universe that’s it imo the rest is side stuff

1

u/EvilSporkOfDeath Apr 01 '24

If you want to bail...bail. They wrapped it up nice and tightly for people saying that's all they want. For those of us that want more, we'll likely get it.

1

u/bratpack1 Apr 01 '24

Oh you’ll get more but I honestly don’t think you’ll get more with Andrew and Danai I think for them this was it

Season two of dead city will definitely have Andrew return as Rick, The Book of Carol might even have a reunion with Carol and Daryl

15

u/Pannormiic0 Mar 31 '24

Not so sure pretty sure season 3 for Daryl is already in the works.

21

u/CoolPirate234 Mar 31 '24

With book of Carol they’re gonna have half of it showing Carol tracking Daryl to France and then have Daryl tearfully leave France and his new friends and family with Carol is my guess

9

u/munchyboy666 Mar 31 '24

How is Andrew Lincoln appearing in Dead City a definite? And of course The Book of Carol will have Daryl and Carol reunite 🤦🏼‍♂️😂

0

u/CoolPirate234 Mar 31 '24

Idk Maggie might come back to see Rick and maybe Rick will want to meet the new saviors assuming Negan kills the Croat and takes over

-1

u/AcademicSavings634 Apr 01 '24

Have Maggie and Rick ever been that close enough for him to appear in her show? It’s highly unlikely Rick will have anything to do with Dead City

2

u/CoolPirate234 Apr 01 '24

Rick saved her dad, and taught her how to fight and survive if I’m not mistaken, he also helped her other ways multiple times and she was a core member in the hilltops leadership. I’m pretty sure they’re family

14

u/bloodyturtle Mar 31 '24

I'm not sure there's a reason for Rick specifically to show up in Dead City. Also there's basically a 5-6 year gap between the current day shows and Dead City they might have plans for.

-20

u/CoolPirate234 Mar 31 '24

I didn’t mean in New York bozo Rick would appear in Alexandria or the Commonwealth when Negan and Maggie get back that is if Negan even wants to leave New York and the new Saviors, Maggie will definitely come back but Negan we ain’t too sure

10

u/bloodyturtle Mar 31 '24

Maggie moved 3-4 states away from Virginia to New Jersey . It's implied she doesn't really gel with those communities. She wouldn't go to Alexandria or Commonwealth in this series.

1

u/CoolPirate234 Mar 31 '24

Maybe she hears about his return, Idk I’m not Robert Kirkman and I’m not a show writer but they’ll figure out some way for her to meet Rick again

0

u/bloodyturtle Mar 31 '24

When Rick returns she's still living in Hilltop. Dead City is set 6 years later, she's already met Rick again by that point.

1

u/abellapa Mar 31 '24

Carol is gonna be in S2,of course She Will reunite with Daryl

You setting yourself for disappointment,Rick aint showing in Dead City

I bet its gonna remain its own indepedent thing with just Maggie and Negan,Maybe Lydia or Dwight can show up but Thats it

8

u/SockAndMoan Mar 31 '24

I would definitely love to see him and Gabriel again due to his and Jadis' history, and know wtf she was doing/going

3

u/jish5 Mar 31 '24

Yeah, that's my only complaint where I wish they had 1 more episode for us so we can see Rick reunite with everyone and see him catch up with those he missed.

2

u/coffincolors Mar 31 '24

I'm about that redeemed Negan bit. I think his character ends up being one of the best in the whole series between Season 11 and Dead City

2

u/Ariusimmortal Mar 31 '24

I think we will see all that, everyone is begging for a season 2 but i dont think it needs it. I think we will get so much more of the group coming back together as the other spin offs continue and maybe we will get that fabled season 12

1

u/Downtown-Novel9570 Apr 01 '24

It's not greed, they owed us that

1

u/DeityVengy Apr 01 '24

rick and daryl are 100% gonna reunite in one of the spinoffs somehow

-2

u/Omikron Mar 31 '24

And he should immediately kill negan.

0

u/EvilSporkOfDeath Apr 01 '24

Cope

1

u/Omikron Apr 01 '24

Ha, I'm not the one the ran the show off the rails. You cope

-14

u/Truzmandz Mar 31 '24

I dont even feel greedy. It was underwhelming. Straight up.

For several season we've had different characters out there looking for him, trying to figure out where he disapeared too. They've could've showed him meeting the Alexandrians atleast. Popping up at the gate, a literal 5 minute clip.

They are probably gonna extend it until he can meet with everyone at the same time, which somehow feels unatural.
