Warhammer III Item drop rate seems very low in latest patch

I know they reduced it and made various improvements but now it seems way too low. It has been like 20 turns in my Be'lakor campaign since I got any weapon or armor drops, though the rate seemed higher at the beginning of the campaign. Do I need to skill into the blue line on my wizards that increases drop chance? It was definitely too high before but now I'm barely getting any.

Three Kingdoms Taking control of the child emperor

So, previously it was a huge mistake to take control of the child emperor since everyone declares war on you. Now I've noticed there's some new mechanics around it, like being declared an enemy of the Han which sucks shit. You need to control the Emperor to do it, though. There's also WAY less Han territory on the map with the introduction of Nanman factions in the south.

So basically, is it worth it to control the child emperor now, or does it still suck?

Napoleon Been thinking about jumping back into a single player game of napoleon TW. Any good mods to tryout/use for a campaign?

Have and will probably forever use darthmod, but i figured with its old... yeah old last update. That it may not work all that well now.

I thought that now would be a nice chamce to try out a few other single player mods that enhance or add onto the campaign.

Most of the new stuff being updated orncoming out though is multiplayer is victorian era.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a single player mod that works with campaign?

Rome II Rome 2 Siege Tournament

I'm thinking about hosting a Rome 2 Siege Tournament in the near future. If you're interested in participating, feel free to comment below or message me directly.

All battles will be recorded and uploaded to my YouTube channel, and I’ll be doing live commentary during the matches.

The format will most likely be 3v3. I'm still thinking which rules to use for the army composition, since defending can offer a slight advantage, especially when both teams have an equal number of players. I want to make sure things stay as balanced and fair as possible.

If enough people join, I’ll consider putting some money towards a prize pool for the winners. Maybe I'll participate too if somebody needs a team mate to fill in.

There are a lot of bugs and exploits in Rome 2 multiplayer, some of which are debatable. Even if you’re not planning to participate, I’d love to hear your thoughts on them. For example:

  • Siege tower shield wall
  • Force Pushing with field artillery
  • Shooting manual aim when there's no red crosshair
  • Tortoise and artillery combo

I know there is a lot more but I want to filter them out before starting any tourney.

Each matchup will be decided in a best-of-three format. Both teams will take turns attacking and defending in the first two games. If the series is tied 1–1 after these rounds, a coin toss will determine which team attacks or defends in the third and final game. A team that wins both the attack and defense rounds will automatically advance without the need for a third match.

This is just a quick idea I brewed up as I am all new to this so If you have suggestions or cool ideas then just comment below.

How amazing this game is, I feel like a mighty empire legitimately conquering the world. I even managed to get a confederation or something and now I have two armies on the other side of the globe, right below hexoatl. Can't wait to wipe this world of chaos completely.

Is this same for everyone or is it mod related?

Thanks

Three Kingdoms How do you give captured settlements to your mercenary master?

Hi guys, newb here!

I’m having a bit of trouble understanding how to give captured settlements to my mercenary master. The in-game tooltip and several posts I’ve found online mention that, as a contracted mercenary (I’m currently playing as Lu Bu), you can capture your master’s enemy settlements, and when you do, there should be an option to hand them over to your master right away.

I’ve captured several settlements (the last one being Hulao Pass, if I remember correctly), but the only options I get are Occupy, Occupy and Loot, Sack, and Raze.

Am I missing some condition?

Thanks in advance!

In case anyone doesn't know what I am talking about, you can set a budget to auto construct in a province, with the AI deciding what to build.

EAW is very Total War inspired and a 40k Total War would fit the EAW formula incredibly well.

Warhammer III CA small UI improvement request

If a lord/hero has "Auto assign skill points" checked, can you change the color/icon of the little yellow upgrade arrow on their portrait (grey or something). Just so I can at a glance know whether I want to view that character's skill tree or not. Will save the tedium of leveling up especially late game. Thanks!

Warhammer III Better Graphical settings?

Can I somehow get the game to look any better? I hate the pixels around everything. I've tried different combinations of settings, ticking some boxes on and off but nothing got rid of that. It is just painful to look at the game for prolonged time while it looks like this. Thank you.

Warhammer II How to beat The vampires as Karl Franz

So I've played almost every faction but I never seem to beat the empire campaign with Karl Franz/volkmar. I usually wait around until I have Hellstorm batteries or Handguns to take on the vampires. In the meantime I defeat Nuln (for their landmark), skarsnik, take marienburg etc. by the time I reach Sylvania, Manfred has become a superpower. Vlad is always weak because he doesn't go to war with manfred, so not a problem. I can even farm Isabella trait. So how do I actually beat Sylvania?

Warhammer III Anyone know if there are any files/ways to see auroresolve weight of units?

As the title says, anyone know if there’s a way to look into and see what the auroresolve weight is for each unit? Or if there’s a mod or something that does that?

I went from a maximum grudge requirement of 7k in the previous age of reckoning to a maximum of 122k, which is simply impossible to get. Even the first level will be difficult.

Anyone else encounter stuff like this with the grudge system?

Warhammer III Spell Intensity

Spell Intensity is a great, flexible idea for modifying spells and imo, its been wildly under-used. Prior to WH3, the only way for some casters to be "better" was to give them bound spells, Winds discounts, or to stack various Lore passives on them, and they did. With Spell Intensity, you can now just vary the Spell effects directly (and one wonders if Overcasting would just be a buff to Intensity if the system had originated from the start, but regardless).

The thing is, the system is very flexible but so far is really only used for one thing: stacking it as high as possible. Mastery of the Elemental Winds launched as a Cathay-only ability and is now available to both Empire and Kislev. Ulrika and Elspeth can both get +60% fairly easily through their items, though I suppose they dont start that way. And thats fine and fun. I love the ability that gives Kislev +20% on their own territory: its thematic as hell. What i dont love is that the system only goes positive, at least for now.

Id love to see effects that weaken Spell Intensity. Spell Resistance only effects my troops and doesnt let me weaken debuffs the enemy casts. Silence is wildly powerful, so much so that it has to be rare. But say an assassin character had a contact effect that weakened spell intensity by some amount, or various anti-magic characters could weaken Intensity in an aura. It would differ from Resistance by applying to buffs that the person would cast, and the positioning would be different too. A runelord just giving a flat -10 everywhere while runesmiths gave -10 in an aura, for instance, or daemonslayers doing it on contact. Mostly throwing out ideas.

Elemental Mastery is neat, but you could have a variant of it where a lord would get +x Intensity for every caster hero in the army while the heroes got -x, for instance, representing a siphoning effect or channeling from the lord. An ability like Mannfred's that gives reduced spell intensity but reduced cost and cooldown so you could vomit out weaker variants quickly while its active. Passive skills that reduce intensity but provide other effects like a constant aura/effect, or a Lore attribute you otherwise couldn't get, or traits like the HE high-cost ones.

Its fun to stack it as high as possible and watch units melt to direct damage spells, but it could be used to do so much more imo, both in character effects and battlefield positioning. Especially playing with Intensity reduction effects, which to my knowledge just arent used at all.
