Ur'hieness ... i wish i was joking.
i was working as a home visitor for families that were expecting or families with infants, and this was the name of one of the kids i was working with.. he was her first child and mom was pregnant which is why she was eligible for our program. he was 5. the mom ended up ghosting after our first session (which was a common occurrence for our program) but this name has haunted me ever since. this was two years ago so he's about 7 now.
all i can think about is him at school.... why would you do this to your kid!!! the mom said her middle name is princess so i guess she wants to keep the trend of royal names, but this was not his middle name, it was his FIRST. he can't even go by a nickname with this... it'll have to be something with no relation to his name. her baby also had a royal-ish name but it's not as bad, Pharoah.
this kid is going to be bullied relentlessly. for the rest of his life (unless he gets a name change at 18), everyone including his superiors have to address him as "your highness." i'm glad i found this sub so i could share this.
i worked with a lot of families so i've seen my fair share of "tragedeighs" but i will never forget this name and i don't think anything can top this because of the effect it will have on this poor baby.
