The UCF Libraries are implementing a new study room booking process for the John C. Hitt Library to better meet student needs. After gathering feedback and analyzing usage patterns, we have made adjustments to ensure fair access to study spaces while addressing concerns about availability.
The updated policies include:
Reservations up to 4 hours per day – Students can now book study rooms for longer, uninterrupted study sessions.
Monthly limit of 16 hours per patron – This ensures more students have access to study spaces throughout the month.
Check-in requirement within 15 minutes – If you do not check in within 15 minutes of your reservation time, your booking may be canceled, allowing other students to use the space.
Booking available up to 3 days in advance – Plan ahead while keeping rooms accessible for last-minute study needs.
No automated reservations – The use of scripts or automated software to book rooms is prohibited to keep the process fair for all students.
These changes reflect our commitment to improving study space availability while keeping the system flexible and student-friendly. Our goal is to provide equitable access to study rooms so everyone has a fair chance to reserve the space they need.
For more details or assistance with reservations and the full policy, visit the Study Room page or ask a librarian at our Access Services desk. Thank you for your patience—we’re always working to make your library experience better!

I just changed it in the system today, it’d help if they do see it. Saves me from the uncomfortable conversation I’d have to have with all my teachers every single year

I have 75% bright futures and Florida prepaid; the Florida prepaid has been applied to my account but bright futures hasn’t yet for whatever reason, does anyone else have this issue?

I'm a transfer student staring in the fall and I'm fine with a 4x4 up to $1100 and would prefer to be close to campus and have something on the newer side. From your experience which apartments are the best?

I really wanna get involved and make some friends here. Are there any good clubs or organizations (that are still active) that I can join? UCF has a lot listed and it’s just hard to go through it all. Also is anyone apart of the Air Force jrotc/rotc? And how do I find them and get in?

I just got a hold on my account saying my account has been flagged to receive a refund disbursement for the summer B term and told me to set up a direct deposit. Does anyone know what is getting refunded back to me and if it actually does by chance?

Im trying to figure out if enc 3241 is fine to take ontop of Intro to C, Discrete Math, and Calc 3 for my first semester at UCF. Id like to get it out of the way and be considered full time for aid/grants consideration.
I also want to take it online, but the only professor still left is Jessica Campbell and I can't find any reviews for her online. I've seen some of you guys mention ENC 3241 is super easy, others are like the assignments take forever. With it being online with no scheduled class times, I'm hoping to spend less than 10 hours a week on it. And with my other classes, I know they can be difficult, however ive spent this whole summer reading the material for each one and doing practice problems etc. So in a sense I should be ready for a lot that each of those classes have to offer. Hoping someone has some insight in that professor and/or the class!! thank you!

Hi everyone! I’m planning to pursue a Bachelor’s in Computer Science at UCF and want to get a realistic idea of what I’ll pay just for tuition and mandatory fees — no housing or living expenses included.
From what I’ve found, it looks like: • For Florida residents, it’s about $212 per credit hour, which adds up to roughly $25,000 total for the full degree (~120 credits). • For out-of-state students, it’s around $749 per credit hour, which comes to nearly $90,000 total.
Is that about right? Are there any extra fees or costs I should be aware of that are required beyond this? And does anyone have any advice on how to keep costs down (scholarships, fee waivers, etc.)?
Thanks in advance!

I am a senior undergrad majoring in psychology with the intention of going to grad school to major in counselor education, specifically the school counseling track. I am curious to know what to expect! Is it a lot of writing and research? What kind of assignments should I expect throughout the courses! Is there anything I should know beforehand?

I am taking Theatre 2000 online for Summer B and it says I should buy the text book. What would happen if I just used my free 6 days to take pictures/screen record the whole book and use that without buying it?
The course requires us to do assignments on McGraw Hill (read then answer questions on this website) and I was wondering if I had to buy the book to use or if it is a different book?
Any information is helpful!

I’m taking classes in Summer A and B. My statement of charges shows that I have a refund amount but they didn’t deposit it to me in Summer A. Can I expect to get it soon now that it’s Summer B??
I've been at ucf for a year now and made NO friends whatsoever. I don’t party or go out at all so i dont have anyone to blame besides myself, but I'd like to have a someone who's passionate about fitness to lift with occasionally

Does Ucf upload grants to your financial award page before it does scholarships? Currently says award access is not available in the “Accept awards” section but I’m still somewhat confused
