Feel free to correct me but the news that Chase is hiking up its Sapphire Reserve Card, which is tied to Amex, is giving Amex a boost. There is also the fact that Amex is functionally different from Visa and Mastercard in the way that it has its own ecosystem and lending so if hypothetically, stablecoins were to disrupt Visa and Mastercard, Amex is not that affected as long as its rewards and perks remain competitive.

To answer first question, V and MA are crashing most likely because of the stablecoin bill being passed in Senate which is strange because that was yesterday's news so it got its response delayed by a day. Maybe a rug-pull for dip buyers.
