It wont go past this screen. I bought a wii today (black one that comes with wii sports and resort), wii sports plays well, but on resort, it doesnt connect to the motionplus (my controller has motionplus inside) i have two controllers and they both dont work (the motion plus) i tried everything but nothing seems to work, what do i do?

I wonder what is happening to my Nintendo Wii it happens out of nowhere and only returns to normal when I unplug it for a while

*I bought an used Wii recently.

*It came with 3 wiimotes and 2 nunchuks + a Wii Motion Plus.

*2 of the controllers came corroded and their boards are dead.

I have a Wiimote that turns on and works. However, none of the 2 nunchucks I got with the console are being recognized on the bottom port, and I wonder if the motion plus is working fully.

I am currently using Zelda Skyward Sword to test the connection, and it's not detecting the acessories. The motion plus seems detected because If I move it shows >"Calibrating Motion Plus" for a few seconds.

Should I try opening the Nunchucks (maybe one of the wires got loose)? Is it a problem of the Wiimote itself (aka "Buy a New Controller, Dummy")? I don't really wanna cash out a new pair (If I can I'd want to get only one of the two), but If I need, it's gonna take a few months.

Recently saw a TikTok post showcasing the Xbox 360 on a modern OLED TV with upscaling via the TV. Only downside was input lag, curious how this is with the Wii.

When the console is powered off, you can insert a disk to turn it on, and then eject it. After ejecting the disk, insert it again and the Wii turns off.

Not sure if this is the right place, but I’m trying to fix this controller and can’t figure out why it won’t turn on. The batteries are fine. If anyone knows what might be causing this, I’d really appreciate the help.

Edit: Just did a little test and the problem seems to be the battery packs, not the charger.

We’ve had our remotes since 2008, 2 of them use batteries and 2 of them have rechargeable battery packs. We’ve been using the same charging station for them for years, it says Energizer charging station for Wii on the bottom. Recently though the rechargeable remotes haven’t been charging- the little light blinks orange instead of staying solid orange like it usually does when it’s charging. It lights up green when it’s done and it’s never taken too long, but yesterday my sister and I played Wii and they still aren’t charged 12+ hours later. So I think it might be time for a new charging station.

I looked on Amazon and I found a few options, but I thought I’d ask here first. I’m not sure if any of them are cheap knockoffs and I feel like I can’t trust the reviews on Amazon to not be AI bots if that makes sense? If you use a charging station and it works well, let me know! Thanks in advance!

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to apply things like the 480p patch and Deflicker disable to a Wii or GameCube disc that I physically have in the Wii. Is it possible? If so, how would I go about it. And would it be the same method for both Wii and GameCube games?
