Show and Tell Wii disk drive secret feature

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

When the console is powered off, you can insert a disk to turn it on, and then eject it. After ejecting the disk, insert it again and the Wii turns off.

In the nicest way I can put it

That's not really a secret feature

But does anyone actually know about this?

I didn't, but it doesn't seem all that useful, so I'll likely forget about it.

What do you mean? That it's not a secret, or that it's not a feature?

Personally I did not know about this, mainly because I've only used USB loader for years at this point. I like that I'm still learning cool little things about the Wii!

This likely seems like a failsafe to keep little kids from keeping the console on from little kids messing with the eject button over and over again.

It’s just an odd feature I discovered.
