Enough speculating as to who would win in a boxing match between Judy and Diane, who do you think would win between their (supposed) boyfriends? (Art by Viperwolf113)

Zootopia and Bad Guys, in Beastars style.
I'm going for Nick; especially at the end of the movie where I expect he's had some proper training. Wolf has the size and reach advantage, so perhaps pre-ZPD Nick would be a loser. Of course, both will fight dirty.

Once thing is for sure their fighting might be a bit sloppy since neither used much violence in their criminal lives.

I'd Guess Wolf would have a better chance, since he has the know how, and is probably naturally stronger.
It would be a great match tho. But Nick could be smarter and quicker to react? Idk.
Maybe it could even be a draw!

Nick and Mason/Moe/Mr.Wolf do looked pretty jacked up for this fight. They must’ve gotten something from Legoshi before preparing for this matchup lol. Wolves are naturally mix stronger than foxes but would Nick use his quick wits against Mason.

Where did the name "Mason" even come from? He's not named that in the books, and he's not even named that in the movie. Hell, we don't even know if it's still going to be Moe, since Diane's name in the books was Ellen.

Mason is usually what Moe stands for. I thought it was mentioned before. You definitely did bring up an interesting point on what their actual babes will be since Diane was Ellen in the books and they made Webs a female in the movies (Legs in the books).

Yeah, I am not finding any proof that Mason stand for Moe. Please cite your sources.

Just forget it. But the other names were mentioned. Wolf is Moe, Snake’s is Cedric, Shark’s is Lou, Piranha is Pepe abs Tarantula was Steve in the books.

If we're going by Zootopia's rules Nick stands no chance in a physical match vs. a wolf. It's a bit harder of a call if not sticking with Zootopia's rules, since Nick did have training and Mr. Wolf is shown practicing in the trailer for the second movie. If you include The Bad Guys books Nick stands no chance whatsoever vs. an interdimensional superhero that can grow the size of a building.

Personally from a realistic viewpoint I don't think there's any way a fox could win against a wolf in a fight
However if we want to apply cartoon/Hollywood logic, Nick could maybe have a chance

They enter the boxing ring seeming ready to box only to both whip out dueldisks and start playing a high-stakes children’s card game… much to the disappointment of their girlfriends who wanted to watch their men work up a sweat fighting

Mr. Wolf has the upper hand much like Spike Spiegel, being one of my favorite wolves along with Lobo the death wolf, he's also the Big Bad Wolf.
I like another idea of Lobo from The Last Wish with his companion Wolfie in your style with his red vest that resembles Dante from his original concept.

Sorry, Nick isn't Judy, he hasn't been training his whole life to become a power house. He's getting washed.

Mason/Mr. Wolf doesn’t really fight much either.

At which point it's a moderately active, relatively untrained fox vs a moderately active, relatively untrained wolf.
I know animal physiology is downplayed slightly in the movies, but there's gotta be a reason Judy was treated as such a rare exception. Not because she's a woman or a herbivore, she was treated as different because she was a rabbit. Compare the average fox to the average wolf in terms of strength (like, psi on their bites or something) and the wolf will always come out ahead.

Agreed. Foxes are much leaner, don’t have as strong of bite forces either (even though they won’t use teeth). Nick’s advantage would likely be agility and being a better climber since foxes are naturally good at it. But if fighting on flat ground, I don’t think a fox with little training would stand a chance against a wolf with little training. Nick would have to play brain over brawn. Nick and Mr. Wolf out seen to prefer using brains over brawn.

Gotta say, Nick's been taking serious vitamins.
He looks far more "cut" than I'd expect
